Porter Dennis R. (Denny) Porter is the President and CEO of FTIC.  He is a nationally recognized Health Information Technology and Policy Strategist, a respected Chief Information Officer and a vastly experienced Program Manager.  Developed over a healthcare career spanning more than 30 years, Mr. Porter specializes in C-level leadership and strategic visioning as it relates to driving Health Information Technology innovations in complex organizations.  He has decades of diverse and challenging healthcare experience in Chief Information Officer and commercial executive leadership roles.  He is known as an innovative national HIT policy executive with extensive experience in large-scale program management of military and commercial health systems.  

Mr. Porter earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Wayland University, Plainview, Texas, and a master’s degree in management information systems from Oklahoma City University.  Mr. Porter has completed the Healthcare Information Systems Management Program at the Harvard School of Public Health and the healthcare chief information officer internship with U.S. Air Force Medical Service Corps. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).  Mr. Porter is a published author and frequent guest columnist for the Government Health IT website. He has the prestigious honor of being the 2009-2010 Executive in Residence at the Institute for e-Health Policy in Washington D.C.
